My work is always intentional in the connectedness of people. I paint Narrative Art, as much to record ordinary activities of life, as to show the viewer that all people laugh and have moments of joy.
We live in a digital world that’s spinning incredibly fast, and for me art slows us down so that we can see one another, in that way art creates community. I want my art to resonate with the viewer, like a familiar thread, part of the human story and to act as a reminder, that we are more alike, than we are different.
I hope my art makes you smile a little bit, at least on the inside.

We grow. We evolve. We change. Here’s my original statement 2020:
I create Narrative portraiture to connect people and show moments of joy in everyday life. There is a familiar thread, a human story and we are reminded that we are more alike than we are different.
Despite an illness that impacted my writing, I began painting the stories that I wanted to tell. It started with abstracts and evolved to Narrative portraiture. I use paint to mix metaphors and dabble in the richness of color to add syntax to complete sentences and correct dangling modifiers, also known as the elements of style. To that end, I’m a writer who paints.
